Within the Primary Care Research
Institute (PCRI) at UB, Elizabeth’s responsibilities have included acting
as a research assistant (an outcome assessment interviewer, assisting
in the development of protocols for chart reviews, medical chart extractor,
creating survey instruments, performing data analysis, and assisting in
manuscript preparation) and as an interventionist (a practice facilitator,
motivational enhancement therapy counselor and a standardized patient
for training medical residents). She has been actively involved in other
PCRI grant funded research studies on facilitating alcohol detoxification
aftercare treatment, and helping to link patients with mental illness
to primary care.
